چکیده
The complete primary structure of &amino acid oxidase from pig kidney has been determined by sequence analysis of 32 peptides derived from tryptic digests of the protein (Swenson, R. P., Williams, C. H., Jr., Massey, V., Ronchi, S., Minchiotti, L., Galliano, M., and Curti, B. (1982) J. BioL Chem. 257, 8817-8823) which were aligned by peptides derived from chymotryptic and Staphylococcus aureua protease digests and cyanogen bromide cleavage of the whole protein. The protein consists of 347 amino acid residues in the following sequence from the NH2-terminal end:

Today, antimicrobial peptides are known as a new generation of antibiotics for treatment of microbial diseases in human and animals and protecting plants against different pathogens. Heveins are a group of antimicrobial peptides which are considered as one of the most important groups of antimicrobial peptides due to the very high diversity and expression in different plant organs as well as th...
متن کاملMolecular characterization of apolipoprotein A-I from the skin mucosa of Cyprinus carpio
Apolipoprotein A-I is the most abundant protein in Cyprinus carpio plasma that plays an important role in lipid transport and protection of the skin by means of its antimicrobial activity. A 527 bp cDNA fragment encoding C terminus part of apoA-I from the skin mucosa of common carp was isolated using RT-PCR. After GenBank database searching, a partial sequence containing a coding sequence (CDS)...
متن کاملFasciola gigantica of Ruminants: The phylogenetic analysis based on COX1 sequences
BACKGROUND: Fasciola species are parasitic trematode with world wide distribution that infects wild and domesticated herbivores, particularly ruminants. The aim of the present study was to investigate the intra species variations of F. gigantica, from goats and buffalos isolates in two common geographic climates of Iran. METHODS: Fasciola species were collected from goat, buffalo, sheep, and ca...

متن کاملEffect of Amino Acid Substitutions on Biological Activity of Antimicrobial Peptide: Design, Recombinant Production, and Biological Activity
Recently, antimicrobial peptides have been introduced as potent antibiotics with a wide rangeof antimicrobial activities. They have also exhibited other biological activities, including antiinflammatory, growth stimulating, and anti-cancer activities. In this study, an analog of MagaininII was designed and produced as a recombinant fusion protein. The designed sequence containe...
